The Austin Film Festival & Heart of Film Screenwriters Conference is a non-profit organization committed to furthering the art, craft and business of screenwriters and recognizing their contribution to the filmmaking industry. The Austin Film Festival is the first event dedicated to celebrating the writer's contribution to the entertainment industry and to supporting the aspiring writer by providing education, monetary assistance, career opportunities, industry exposure and public recognition.

The Austin Film Festival presents an eight-night film program, dedicated to providing an environment of recognition, opportunity and reward for those individuals who have realized their vision from script to screen. The film program consists of evening screenings and premieres dedicated to raising awareness of the writer's contribution to the entertainment industry. The festival also takes pride in our retrospective series, honoring those who have achieved notoriety and success as a result of their prolific and breakthrough works.
